Our Story

A family-owned European café and grill in Shingle Springs, bringing the authentic flavors of Bosnia-Herzegovina and Central Europe to Northern California since 2011.

A Legacy of Love & Tradition

The Zildzo Family at Crepe Town Cafe

Our story begins in 1992, when Alma Zildzo and her two daughters found refuge in Germany during the Bosnian war. There, Alma spent five years mastering the culinary arts in a local restaurant, collecting cherished recipes that would later become the foundation of Crepe Town Café.

After immigrating to the Bay Area, Alma and Eddie Zildzo realized their dream in 2011 by opening Crepe Town Café. Our menu is a loving tribute to European cuisine, blending traditional Yugoslavian, French, and Italian flavors with American favorites. Every dish tells a story, featuring recipes passed down through generations and prepared with the same care and attention as they were in Alma's family kitchen.

"Incredible experience. The food is just perfect. It's always better than exactly what I'm craving. The Nutella strawberry crepes are just to die for. They make phenomenal lattes and bloody Mary's. All of the food just tastes like it's made with love and the service is unbeatable."

Patrick Urrutia

"Nicest staff I've ever met in California. The California crepe, creamy delight crepe, and American breakfast were amazing. Good latte too. They even let our dog sit inside so we weren't out in the cold."

Sanela Besic

"Lovely unique and cozy ambiance with great food, drinks and amazing service. You will easily fall in love with their sweet and savory crepes. They have a great variety in their menu that will satisfy everyone's taste buds. Caution: it is addictive, once you visit, you will find yourself going back for more.🥰"

"Excellent café! Wide variety of freshly made meals. Service is friendly. Outdoor patio is shaded with lots of greenery and flowers. The cevapi is excellent! If you're local, stop in. If you're traveling between Sacramento and Tahoe, this is just off the freeway and easy to get to!"

Dusan Rodic

"Charming restaurant in Shingle Springs managed by a family from Bosnia-Herzegovina offering tasty traditional meals from Balkans. You must try chevapi on lepina bread. Highly recommended. Mrs. Alma, the owner, and the staff are true examples of great customer hospitality."
